Rainy day, and Monday

It's been unusually rainy here in Los Angeles the past few days. I had this image in my head this past weekend of 1300 families who had been burned out of their homes, all looking to the sky and being thankful for the rain, hopeful it would help put out the fires. Cut to a group on Santa Monica Boulevard on Halloween night, missing out on some of the parade activities due to the rain, saying, "How come everything always happens to me?!"

Well, this rain has made everything much, much cooler and more than a little cozy, which I find kind of nice. In case you're one of those for whom rain is depressing, here's a photo (click it to enlarge) of brand new person Ethan Andrew Ide, about 2 hours after he was born.
